Article:
Merfeld DM, Christie JRI, Young LR,
Perceptual and eye movement responses elicited by linear acceleration
following spaceflight.
Aviat.Space Environ.Med. 1994, 65:1015-24.
What I liked: Subjects had
actual 9-day space flight between the first and the second
test.
Wheat I did not like:
\ Because subjects actually flew, the number of the subjects for the
study was only 4.
\ There were 4 experiments written into one article. Although this is because all these
experiments were done regarding to a mission, this makes it very hard to read
this paper.
\ There are too many citations for the methods. If there is a concise summary of the
methods previously published, it will be easier for the reader.
\ Lack of good diagrams or photographs. How the subjects or equipments are aligned is difficult to
determine.
What I would have done:
\ It is best to split this into 3 or 4 independent papers. Then each can contain detailed method
explanation.
\ Clarify what was the cause for faulty EOG recording.
\ Describe in what way subjective comments from subjects were
collected.
